SIMPLY LEMONADE INGREDIENTS:

 1/3 C. GRANULATED SUGAR

 1/3 C. WATER

 1TBS. MINCED FRESH LEMON ZEST (FROM 2 LEMONS)

 1/3 C. FRESHLY SQUEEZED LEMON JUICE (FROM 8 LEMONS) OR YOU CAN USE FROZEN LEMON JUICE

 

RIGHT DIRECTIONS:

MIX THE SUGAR AND WATER IN A SMALL PAN OVER LOW HEAT.

SLOWLY BRING THE MIXTURE TO A BOIL, STIRRING SOMETIMES, UNTIL SUGAR IS COMPLETELY MELTED. TAKE IT OF FROM HOB

MIX THE LEMON JUICE AND ZEST INTO THE BASIC SYRUP. SET THE CONCENTRATE ASIDE TO COOL TO NORMAL ROOM  TEMPERATURE LEVEL.

WHEN COOLED DOWN, HOMEMADE LEMON CONCENTRATE MAY BE KEPT IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER IN THE FRIDGE FOR AS MUCH AS TWO WEEKS, OR FROZEN LEMONADE CONCENTRATE FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS.

HOW TO USE HOMEMADE LEMONADE CONCENTRATE:

TO MAKE AN INDIVIDUAL PORTION, MIX 1/4 MUG LEMONADE CONCENTRATE WITH 3/4 MUG COLD WATER. STIR. INCLUDE ICE, AS DESIRED.

FOR 1 QUART (4 PERSON SERVINGS,) COMBINE 1 MUG LEMONADE CONCENTRATE WITH 3 MUGS COLD WATER. STIR. ADD ICE, AS DESIRED.

TO MAKE A HALF GALLON (8 INDIVIDUAL SERVINGS,) STIR 2 MUGS OF LEMONADE CONCENTRATE WITH 6 MUGS OF COLD WATER. INCLUDE ICE, AS YOU WISH.

THIS DISH MAKES 1 QUART OF LEMONADE CONCENTRATE AND ALSO 4 QUARTS (1 GALLON) OF HOMEMADE LEMONADE.
